whoopie

30 some years ago, Roman Polanski, a man about 40, drugged a 13 year old girl and raped her; more correctly sodomized her.

Whoopie seems to think that because he did not break into her house and commit this act he didn't really "rape, rape" her. Because he knew her it was just "rape".(what?)

Look out ladies, it looks like we are going to get new definitions for rape and maybe you deserve it sometimes.

whoopie, too bad you are not "smart, smart" enough to really understand what happened.

steel

This morning I touched steel

the heavy red primed steel used to build something

anchored in concrete and bolted to others just like it

holes drilled in connection plates and heavy welds for reinforcement.

this was steel used for something big, something to remember

but this steel was also twisted and scarred with deep impressions, scratches and gouges.

these were not going into a building, they had been in a building

this steel was from something big, towers that reached the sky and I remember being at the top of one of them

The three pieces lay on a raised concrete platform and as I walked around,

I whispered the names and the towns of people from my county who died when this steel collapsed.

I also remember watching them come down.

and I remember the hate and madness of the radical islamic murderers that day

This morning, in the rain, I touched steel and remembered.

Never Forget

Noell Marez

The following, along with more information, can be found at http://www.noellmaerz.com. /Home_97.htm

Please take a few minutes and follow the links to learn more about Noell

Noell's Story

"Noell Maerz was born and raised in the Lansdale area, and loved all sports from the time he was little. He went to St. Stanislaus Grade School in Lansdale, PA and moved on to high school at Lansdale Catholic where he was a star basketball player as well as the starting Quaterback. After high school he continued his education and his football career at Hofstra University. Upon graduation from college he continued his city life and moved to Long Beach, Long Island. He worked in New York City and began to compete in triathlons where his love for sports and competition could not leave him. Noell met his wife Jennifer on the train one morning and the rest is history. They were married in November of 2000 and in January of 2001 found out that they would be expecting their first child. Also that winter Noell decided to run the New York City Marathon which would be held in November of 2001. All of his dreams were coming true but on the morning of September 11th, on the 84th floor of the South Tower of the World Trade Center, his life was suddenly taken from us. He left behind his wife, Jennifer and a beautiful little girl, born October 31, 2001 named Noelle Briana Maerz."

The thing that I learned from researching this young mans life was that he had a contagious smile. His friends said he could change a room with his smile. Indeed, some said that his face and smile, seen on the posters in the days following that fateful day, made them stop and read about him.

As a parent, I am so angered and hurt that his wife was denied the thrill that comes when husband and wife become mom and dad. My consolation comes from knowing that there is extended family there to help and keep his memory alive.

Though 10 years my junior, Noell sounds like someone I would have wanted to know. A man who stood out in a crowd, but made everyone feel important.

Never Forget

Ira Zaslow

I have the privilege to help you remember today, the life of Ira Zaslow. This is a man I never met, but as I check through the internet, I wish I had. Perhaps the the nicest thing I learned about him was that he was successful by just about every measurement, but did not flaunt it or have to let you know. I'm sure that if you met him in the elevator you would have thought him to just be "one of the guys".

I'm going to let you learn more about him from people who knew him much better; family and friends. Please take a few minutes of your time today and follow the link below.

"Ira Zaslow
, an outstanding family man, dedicated colleague and dear friend was a person who wanted his children, family and friends to contribute to their community and exhibit the strong moral character he so greatly possessed. To honor him and carry on his special legacy within our family, we have established this site." http://www.irazaslowfoundation.org

Death Panels

I read an article by someone that I usually find to be spot on (Charles Krauthammer). In the article, he dismisses Sarah Palin's use of the term "death panel". Unfortunitly, Mr. Krauthammer then went on to describe how wills and final directives work in a hospital setting. He never addressed the fact that there will be a panel of people who will review cost/benefit relationship when it comes to money spent on elderly, disabled, etc. Indeed, Mr. Krauthammer never mentioned that, if we get Obamacare, the only way to cut costs is to limit access to care, professionals, technology.

Mr. Krauthammer, I have to disagree with you on this one, as much as it pains me to say so. Obama wanted to withhold care to aborted babies who survived the procedure. Just push them aside and let them die.

Up until the last couple of days, do you think that ted kennedy was denied anything that might prolong his life? Do you think that the insurance he had would tell him to just go take a pill a year ago when he was diagnosed?

ted kennedy: dead

No tears here.

This is a man who let a young woman drown while he went back to shower and climb into bed.

He took every opportunity to lible conservatives; Bork, Alito

He wanted us lower class to have wind generators in our back yards, but not near his vacation home.

He spent his last days attempting to change back laws about Senate vacancies that would once again gain the democrats political favor.

ted, as you face God, may He treat you as you have treated women. May you be judged by the way you tried to manipulate laws.

Not one single tear.
